Perustietoa
TKB (uudelta kauppanimeltään TC Plus) on modifioitu TCA-kuorinta. Se on keskivahva kemiallinen käsittely ihon ylimpien kerrosten biostimulaatioon. Tuote on kehitetty ja valmistettu Italiassa.
TKB sisältää uudella tavalla stabiloitua trikloorietikkahappoa (TCA). Trikloorietikkahappo eli TCA pääsee dermikseen saakka ja stimuloi dermiksen fibroblasteja tuottamaan kollageenia ja elastiinia. Lisäksi hoito kohdistuu ihon pinnallisiin kerroksiin. Ihon pinta uudistuu, tasoittuu ja napakoituu. Toisin kuin vanhan polven TCA-kuorinnat, tuote ei vahingoita ihon pintakerroksia. Iho ei kuoriudu tai punoita, kuten perinteisten TCA-kuorintojen jälkeen. Pieni hilseily on mahdollista. Hilseily kertoo ihon pinnan voimakkaasta uusiutumisesta.
Modifioidun TCA:n lisäksi TKB / TC Plus sisältää myös mm. manteli- ja kojichappoa. Mantelihappo poistaa nopeasti ihon pinnan kuolleet ihosolut. Sillä on myös antibakteerisia ja antimikrobisia ominaisuuksia, minkä vuoksi se sopii akneiholle. Mantelihappo pienentää ja puhdistaa ihohuokosia sekä kirkastaa ihon pinnan, niin että iho näyttää aiempaa terveemmältä. Kojichappo kirkastaa ja vaalentaa ihon pinnan kevyesti.
TKB / TC Plus -toimenpide on erittäin tehokas. Se jälleenrakentaa ihon kaikki kerrokset, korjaa ihon virheitä ja sopii täydellisesti myös herkän ihon käsittelemiseen.
Tulokset tulevat esiin neljässä vaiheessa:
1. Välitön ihon kirkastuminen ja tasoittuminen näkyvät toimenpidettä seuraavana päivänä.
2. Ihon pinnan täydellinen uudistuminen näkyy 3–7 vuorokauden kuluttua toimenpiteestä.
3. Ihon kaikkien kerrosten biostimulaatio näkyy keskimäärin 14 vuorokauden kuluttua toimenpiteestä.
4. Sarjahoidon jälkeen kollageenin ja elastiinin lisääntyminen jatkuu vielä usean kuukauden ajan. Ihon rakenne ja ulkonäkö paranevat vielä hoitosarjan päättymisen jälkeen.

Tulokset
Osa TKB- eli TC Plus -hoidon tuloksista näkyy välittömästi ensimmäisen hoidon päätyttyä. Iho kiinteytyy, tasoittuu ja kirkastuu.
Toimenpidettä seuraavien kuukausien aikana alkaa kollageenin ja elastiinin uustuotanto. Kollageeni on ihoa kiinteyttävä proteiini. Elastiiniproteiini tekee ihosta kimmoisan ja joustavan. Kun kollageenin ja elastiinin määrä lisääntyy, iho muuttuu aiempaa kiinteämmäksi ja nuoremman näköiseksi.
Jo yksi TC Plus / TKB -käsittely parantaa ihon ulkonäköä, rakennetta ja toimintaa joksikin aikaa. Parhaat ja pysyvämmät tulokset saavutetaan sarjahoidon avulla. Tällöin modifioitu TCA-käsittely tehdään 4-6 kertaa viikon välein.

Sarjahoidon aikana iho voidaan käsitellä tarvittaessa myös perinteisellä TCA-liuoksella. Erilaisten TCA-tuotteiden vaihteleminen hoitosarjan kuluessa tuo usein lisätehoa hoitoon. Mikäli potilaan iho on hyvin herkkä, pysyttäydytään sarjahoidon aikana usein TKB:ssa.
