However, it’s important to note that dermal fillers and botulinum toxin are not the same and do not produce the same results. Dermal fillers add volume, making the lips larger and more voluminous.
In the Botulinum Lip Flip treatment, botulinum toxin is strategically injected into the “orbicularis oris” muscle, targeting only the superficial layers of the muscle at the upper and lower lip borders, to relax the muscle minimally. A very small amount of botulinum toxin is used so as not to affect the muscle’s function but to turn the lip border outward.
