Ikääntymisen myötä iho usein veltostuu painovoiman ja kemiallisten muutosten seurauksena. Ihon kiinteyttäminen voi olla hankalampaa kuin nuoruusvuosina. Laihdutuksenkin jälkeen ihoa on liikaa ihonalaiskudokseen verrattuna. Ylimääräinen iho roikkuu velttona kudosten ympärillä, ikään kuin vaate, joka on käynyt liian suureksi laihdutuskuurin myötä. Myös selluliitin hoito voi olla ylitsepääsemätön tehtävä.
Ihon kiinteyttäminen ei ole kuitenkaan mahdoton tehtävä. Energia-avusteiset laitehoidot tulevat avuksi, kun kotikonstit eivät riitä. Mikäli velttoa, ylimääräistä ihoa on hyvin paljon, tarvitaan monesti plastiikkakirurgiaa. Kyseeseen tulevat esimerkiksi abdominoplastia, sirkumferentti abdominoplastia, käsivarsien kohotusleikkaus tai jokin muu kirurginen toimenpide.

Siellä se kiristää ihoa mahdollisimman tehokkaasti vetämällä yhteen säikeitä ja sidekudosta. Jos iho on hyvin kuoppainen, sidekudosseinämiä katkotaan laitteeseen integroidulla leikkurilla. Reisien ja pakaroiden kuoppainen iho (selluliitti) on vaiva, josta miljoonat naiset kärsivät ympäri maailmaa. Sidekudoksen rakenteellisten erojen vuoksi naisilla esiintyy selluliittia useammin kuin miehillä.
TiteFxTM pienentää ympärysmittaa ja vähentää selluliittia lyhentämällä kollageenisäikeitä, stimuloimalla uuden kollageenin muodostumista ja kutistamalla valikoivasti suurentuneita rasvasoluja.
TiteFx vaikuttaa monella tavalla
Bipolaarinen RF-virta lämmittää juuri oikeat kohdealueet. Syvävaikutteinen lämpö stimuloi rasvasoluissa tapahtuvaa luonnollista palamista, lyhentää kollageenisäikeitä ja stimuloi uuden kollageenin muodostumista. Lisäksi laite synnyttää radioaaltoja, jotka puhkovat suurentuneisiin rasvasoluihin pieniä aukkoja (elektroporaatio). Tämä vähentää veri- ja imusuoniin kohdistuvaa painetta välittömästi ja palauttaa solujen aineenvaihdunnan.
Sen lisäksi, että ympärysmitta pienenee, myös kudokset kiinteytyvät ja iho tasoittuu.
