Laser Treatment Aftercare
After laser treatment, the skin may feel warm and tingly for a while. Post-treatment effects are individual, and their healing depends on factors such as the extent of the procedure. Often, daily activities can be resumed immediately after treatment.
In the days following the laser procedure, there may be swelling and redness in the treated area. Sometimes, blisters, scabs, or bruises may form on the skin. You can apply soothing cream or gel to the skin after treatment. A good post-treatment product is, for example, Pharmann’s Laserat™ cream. If needed, you can also apply a cold pack wrapped in fabric to the treated area.
Avoid sauna, hot water, sunbathing, and sweating until the skin has healed. Post-treatment redness can be covered with makeup if the skin is intact. It’s good to spray the treated area with water a few times a day and pat it dry with a clean towel.
Chemical peeling is not recommended for two months after laser treatment. However, in some cases, a doctor may recommend combining chemical peeling with laser treatment.
