Fractora™ Patient Instructions
Before the Procedure:
- Start skin sun protection early, about 3 – 4 weeks before the procedure (SPF 30).
- Avoid skin exfoliation for 2 – 3 days before the procedure.
- Come to the Fractora treatment with clean skin. No makeup or skincare products.
- If you have had herpes blisters, start preventive medication well in advance of the procedure.
After the Fractora™ Procedure
- You can relieve heat and redness with cold packs.
- Apply Bepanthen or vaseline only to the treated area during the first few days.
- Once the skin surface has healed (approximately within three days), treat the skin with Laserat cream. Use sunscreen during the day. You can start wearing makeup once the skin is no longer broken. If the procedure is done at high intensities, it’s advisable to refrain from wearing makeup for a week.
- Do not peel the skin for two weeks. Avoid retinol and other products containing retinoids.
- Your skin will be quite red immediately after the procedure. Usually, small pimples may form on the skin after about three days. The skin starts to peel. Do not pull off loose skin.
- The treated area may swell. Bruising may also occur. They typically heal within a week. Individual differences always exist.
- Itching is typical. Do not scratch your skin! Laserat cream relieves itching.
- If your skin is dark in color, use Laserat cream even if there is no itching. Dark skin must be protected very carefully from the sun and impurities. Do not use organic products.
- Skin firming, smoothing, and reduction of wrinkles occur gradually. The final result can be assessed 3 – 4 months after the procedure.
- To enhance and maintain the final result, we recommend a three-session Fractora Firm treatment series once a year. The first Fractora Firm series can be done no earlier than three months after the Fractora procedure.
